Christian Writer Carol Collins
Writing has always been my obsession and my joy. From the age of ten, I was writing short books, based on favourite TV characters. In my twenties, spare time in my job enabled me to write my first ‘proper’ novel, and I was fortunate enough to have it accepted by the very first publisher I approached. There followed a series of nine present day romances, all published by a top London publisher.
I am a Christian writer and my writing reflects my faith, although some novels do contain more Christian content than others. Love may be at the centre of them, but I have always tried to incorporate something more…a touch of mystery, discovery, or as in several novels, more than a hint of danger. As well as being sold in bookshops etc., all of these nine books have been borrowed nationwide from libraries.
Some of my favourite British Christian Romance authors are Autumn Macarthur, Juliette Duncan and Sarah M Eden
My husband and myself live in a village situated in the National Forest, Leicestershire. Until recently, we lived in the beautiful Cotswolds, and attended Cam Congregational Church for many years. That area has figured in several of the books. We have two children who are both happily married, and two grandchildren, and continue to write at every available opportunity.
