Story Description
Proven Guilty! proved a delight to write. I really enjoyed developing James’ character as he adjusts to a very different life after a spell in prison. Lindsey too, was interesting, as she is forced to work alongside him despite her intense dislike of his crime. The backdrop of Greystones, the Richardson family mansion became special to me, and I really loved researching details of the antiques so important to the story. The novel is clean, and contains some Christian content relevant to the storyline. Hopefully to whet your appetite, I have mentioned a few of my favourite moments in the book. It is exceptionally well narrated by Doro Gillings, who makes each character sound exactly as I imagined them, and is available in Audio Books as well as Kindle. Chapter 1. The first meeting between James and Lindsey and their initial dislike of each other was great fun to write. |
Chapter 2. The sparks begin to really fly! And facts begin to emerge about Greystones that shocks Lindsey to the core but also inspires her to try and meet the challenge to keep this great old house in the family.
Chapter 9. Beginning to help Lindsey see another side to James’ complex character was good, although it isn’t long before something happens to stir up her feelings against him.
Chapter 10. Shocking revelations put Lindsey in a difficult and potentially compromising situation.
Chapter 12. It’s always fun to bring a story to a conclusion, although I was particularly sorry to leave the fascinating characters of James and Lindsey behind.
